Do Educated Women Makes Better Mother Essay
ââ¬Å"The hand that rocks the cradle rules the world. ââ¬â¢Ã¢â¬â¢ Mothers play a vital role in the upbringing of children and they nurture the babies with all the important values to make them great leaders, tycoons, corporate kings and masters of their professions. Therefore, educated women indeed make great mothers as they are more aware of the needs, norms and necessities of this challenging world that their children are going to face. An educated mother knows how to use psychology to her advantage and pave the way for the child to attain great heights. Some educated mothers force their children to excel which puts these children into a planetarium of success. ââ¬Å"You have to be cruel in order to be kind. â⬠Therefore, they may exercise force on their children but it is only a good education will pave the way to a brighter future. Prominent lawyers, doctors and lecturers, writers and other professional pay great tribute to their mothers who took great care for them to emerge the victorious lot and to become the best in the society. ââ¬Å"Behind every successful man is a woman. The educated mother is aware of the perils of illiteracy and will ignorance and being ill-equipped for the future. So, educated mothers will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that their offspring are healthy, strong, fit and most importantly multi-talented. This positive approach allows the children to be the best and to reach for the sky. Education helps these mothers to steer their children away from bad habits, immoral behavior and wrong ways. An educational mother can teach her children when they lag behind in their schoolwork. Some teachers are mothers too and it is not uncommon to see their children doing profoundly well in examinations. Apart from that, educated mothers are a source of inspiration for their children. When the children are aware of the high capability and integrity of their mothers, they will follow suit in their motherââ¬â¢s footsteps. Educated mothers motivate their children in all aspects. These mothers are also aware of setbacks, failure, frustrations and peer pressure. Being educated allows these mothers to use professional approaches in handling children to help them overcome these obstacles in life. Educated mothers indeed know the strength and the weakness of their children. They will teach their children to capitalize on their strengths but not in weakness. This positive approach will go a long way in life. We can, therefore, come to conclusion that educated mothers create a future generation of capable, intelligent, highly skilled and profound individuals.

Juvenile Offenders And Child Welfare Agencies Across The...
Background In the criminal justice world, juvenile offenders are of particular concern. In 2014 alone it is estimated that over one million juveniles were arrested in America (Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention). According to the National Institute of Justice, juveniles who begin a life of delinquency early are more likely to continue that trend into adulthood, and that once they enter the adult criminal justice system; they are more likely to become worse in their criminal conduct. While most juveniles are likely to stop delinquency by their early twenties, those who continue are more likely to engage in increasingly violent offenses. Maltreatment of juveniles is also a concern in America. In 2014, an estimated 700,000 children were referred to child welfare agencies across the United States. This is a significant number and is concerning. According to Van der Put and de Ruiter 2016, multiple studies have been done on the link between juvenile abuse and neglect and delinquent behavior. However the findings have generally been mixed and there has been no concrete outcome on the effects of maltreatment on juvenile recidivism and adult crimes. Kim, park and Kim 2016 note how past studies have observed a link between childhood maltreatment and crimes continuing into adulthood that included violent offenses. They note however that there have not been many studies that have examined the link between childhood maltreatment and criminal recidivism in peopleShow MoreRelatedModernizing Mental Healthcare And The Juvenile Justice System Essay2186 Words à |à 9 PagesModernizing Mental Healthcare in The Juvenile Justice System Rhoshunda Ellis Walden University Modernizing Mental Healthcare in The Juvenile Justice System Introduction As a Human Services Professional with a background in criminal justice, this article will focus on accessing and helping juvenile offenders in the United States struggling with mental health disorders. Gender Discrimination Examining How Women are Denied...
The goal on gender equality and impact of gender discrimination varies from country to country, depending on the social, cultural and economic contexts. Anti-discrimination laws have performed a critical role in expanding work place opportunities for women, yet they are still denied full equality in the workplace. Even though they can now secure powerful professional, academic and corporate positions once reserved for men, the ever present glass ceiling still deters the advancement of large segment of the female workforce (Gregory, 2003). Interest in the careers of females remained strong among both scholars and practitioners. Women have made considerable progress in entering the managerial ranks also but not at the highest levels.â⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦Glass ceiling is an artificial and sometimes transparent barriers that prevent women and people of colour from advancing up above a certain level in corporations (Morrison, White, Van Velsor, and the Centre for Creative Leader ship, 1987). They considered it a barrier for women as a group, barring individualsââ¬â¢ advancement simply because they are women rather than because they lack the ability to handle jobs at higher levels. Researches has provided evidence that it is more difficult for women than for men to be promoted up levels of authority hierarchies within workplaces but also that the obstacles women face relative to men becomes greater as they move up the hierarchy (Baxter Wright, 2000). Although the glass ceiling could exist at different levels in different organizations or industries, the term is typically used to suggest a barrier to entry into top-level management positions. Researchers have provided substantial facts supporting the idea that women are a group who are kept from advancing higher because they are women (Morrison et al. 1987, 13). Numerous theories have proposed the existence of outright discrimination against women in organizations because of their gender. For example, th eories that focus on patriarchy suggest that menââ¬â¢s desire to keep women in a dependent status contributes to limitations of the latterââ¬â¢s employmentShow MoreRelatedGender Bias in the Workplace: Its Origin, Cases and Solutions 1767 Words à |à 7 Pages Gender Bias in the Workplace: Its Origin, Cases and Solutions Gender bias has long been an issue in the workplace. Lifes Song free essay sample
ââ¬Å"Turn the music down!â⬠It is an overused command every teenager hears from annoyed parents in response to the latest hit songs and Billboard countdowns. It invokes the quintessential image of tattooed rock ââ¬Ënââ¬â¢ roll fans jamming with a guitar in hand while displaying their ââ¬Å"If the Musicââ¬â¢s Too Loud, Then Youââ¬â¢re Too Oldâ⬠shirt to their exasperated family members. For most youths in America, this is an inevitable rite of passage: arguing for louder, hipper, more riff-laden music. I was lucky to have never heard it. In fact, my parents encouraged it. I remember the first day the old upright arrived at our house. The dark wood, ivory keys, and golden lettering, entranced me. I sat captivated that afternoon: I struck the notes, watched the inside hammers move, and played with the foot pedals. This had been my dream ever since I had first heard ââ¬Å"Fur Elise.â⬠The haunting, beautiful composition struck a chord within me: I fell in love with the sound of the piano. We will write a custom essay sample on Lifes Song or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page I was only seven and I wasnââ¬â¢t sure if I would ever learn to play with such finesse, but I knew that I wanted to try. It took almost a year of convincing my parents to begin lessons for me, but I persevered and won out in the end. Upon this initial introduction to music, my passion for the subject blossomed. I continued to play the piano, and joined the schoolââ¬â¢s orchestra for cello. I remember hearing my peers complain about how much they disliked practicing, and could not understand how they felt this way. For me, practice was an escape from the mundane prose of life, it was a poetry for the senses. I grasped every chance I could to spend time practicing. Even if it were only for a few moments, the piano called to me, and I would answer. Each time I played, I felt the instrument come alive as though enchanted- with notes, I conjured storm and calm, power and meekness using a wizardââ¬â¢s skill. My commitment also thrived, and I pushed forward to excel to the best of my abilities, and to snag each opportunity presented. I entered contests, accompanied church groups, played solos, and participated in extracurricular clubs for music. Over time, Iââ¬â¢ve worked to better understand all types of musi c by listening to various genres. My tastes are eclectic and I enjoy classical as well as classic rock. Listening to other styles of music inspired me to try new sounds, and Iââ¬â¢m now proficient on the violin, bass, cello, piano, and guitar. The more I learn about the subject, the more I am fascinated. Over the last ten years, Iââ¬â¢ve pursued my interest, and raised the bar higher each time. Not only have I spent independent time each day with an instrument, but I have also done district orchestras in which playing is an all-day event. I have challenged myself and more than 40,000 hours have been dedicated to my passion. One of the most incredible feelings is to produce something that creates enjoyment for others, and I know that I am capable of doing that when I perform. After I competed in a talent contest one year, a young girl approached me and said that she wanted to take piano lessons after listening to me play. How amazing the gift of melody is! Music is heard by the ears, but it shapes the heart and stimulates the mind. I am thankful that my parents never told me to ââ¬Å"turn the music down.â⬠If they had, my lifeââ¬â¢s song would have been a different tune. Although music wonââ¬â¢t be my lifeââ¬â¢s career, it will always be my passion.
